Shareware Programming I've worked
as a programer since I was fourteen years old. My
original programs were BBS door games, which I began to
sell in the mid 1980's while in high school. My very
first shareware program, Galactic Warzone, sold
approximately 1000 copies. Most people who remember me from the old
BBS days remember me from Land of Devastation,
my most successful game. My more recent Internet
projects have sold in excess of 10,000 copies.
Research Programming
I work as a research programmer on file system related
products, such as distributed file systems, routers, and
proxy servers for an educational establishment. I spend
approximately 20-40 hours per week on research related
activities, and have published several papers.
Contract Programming
I occasionally do contract programming when presented
with an interesting idea. My standard rate for contract
programming is $100/hr for short term projects, but
substantially less if a long term commitment can be made.
